Few landmarks are as closely tied to New Hampshire as the Old Man of the Mountain. For generations, the famous stone profile overlooking Franconia Notch represented the Granite State, and even after its collapse in 2003, it remains an enduring part of New Hampshire’s identity.

This tote features our hand-drawn New Hampshire outline filled with a historic photograph of the Old Man of the Mountain taken by photographer Ed Cooper in the fall of 1973. “New Hampshire” and our signature looping flight path with airplane complete the design.

The Story Behind the Design

Ed Cooper captured this view on 4x5 film using a telephoto lens, preserving the profile as it stood on Cannon Mountain 30 years before its collapse.
